nothing detected.
Any suggestions please ?

Re: SD Downloads.
Have you used the SD Card previously for another task and that was successful or is it a new SD Card?

Re: SD Downloads.
Hi
I have never tried anything else on it only the recent downloads of ew03 and ew04. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: SD Downloads.
The reason I asked is that some SD Cards for whatever reason just don't work. You say it is a 256mb SD Card which makes it an older card because they havent made cards that size for quite a while now. I just wondered whether it had been used for something else and now wouldnt function in the KN7000 keyboard.
Personally I have never downloaded the sounds you refer to so I have no experience of how to load them into my KN7000.

Hi.
Thanks for your advice.
I will buy a new card and hopefully this will solve the problem.
Thanks.

Re: SD Downloads.
OK but make sure you do not buy an SDHC Card which look exactly the same but do not work in the KN7000 keyboard.
Look for a 1 or 2 gig max straight SD Card.

SD Downloads - Copied Topic from the EW04 page
Hi
I have just right clicked and saved as the ew03 and ew04 on to a 2GB integral sd card then put it into my kn7000 and it doesn't appear to be reading it. The save as function seemed to be very quick should this be the case and any help would be appreciated as to why this is not working. I have never tried adding anything into the memory before. I have ew01 and ew02 boards already installed into the organ though. Another thought could we save these files onto floppy disc as I use this facility for extra downloaded songs. Please help. Thank you

Re: SD Downloads.
I copied the above post from the EW04 Page.
Here is a copy of my response for future reference. The same topic items are covered in many forum posts so try a search to find additional information. For example the limitations of SD Cards over 1Gb - Information about SD Cards for KN7000 and KN2600
The search function is on the top level Forums Page and the Home Page.
Hi SRMurphy,
Your query raises a lot of questions, I have to be brief in responding but if you need further advice please post in the KN7000 Forum, you'll find it on the Forums menu at the top of the site.
Firstly, KN7000 (and KN2600) work with 1Gb SD Cards (max size). Some 2Gb cards might work but the keyboards will only recognise them as 1Gb cards and might not recognise them at all.
Some of the files on our sites are available as Drag N Drop versions where I have prepared them to be simply dropped into the SD Card. That's not the case with these sounds (yet), so you need KN-SDExplorer which is a programme that puts Technics files onto an SD Card in the correct place and format for your KN7000 to read.
The Sound files (TM files) are very small, the transfer of them is very fast. They only pass data to the keyboard so that it knows how to mix the tones and the parameters applied to them, to create the Sound. When loaded, the Sounds are available in the Sound Memory.
The download files are also numbered and formatted in such a way that you can transfer them via floppy. Just drag and drop them onto your floppy and load them. Once loaded you can save them on SD Card via your KN7000. This is probably the easiest way.
If you want to learn more so that you can easily transfer files then you should read the following sections of the website and watch the videos on the Help Menu. The videos are not great but you can expand them to full screen and get the idea. I'll re-make them when I get chance.

Re: SD Downloads.
PS - KN-SDExplorer does not run on Apple operating systems. Mac users would need to run Windows on their Apple via Bootcamp or Parallels, and then run KN-SDExplorer on that. KN-SDExplorer was in fact developed on a Mac running Windows on Bootcamp.
Alternatively, VIP Members who use Apple computers can request for Drag N Drop versions of our downloads to be made and they will then be added to the site as soon as I can do it. There would be a little wait because personal issues have left me with little time lately. Normal service will be resumed as soon as humanly possible.
The most straightforward way to transfer Styles, Sounds and other components of Technics Songs to your keyboard is using a floppy disk, though it is obvioulsy more time-consuming than using KN-SDExplorer.
Further information on using Apple Macs and the other topics above is available on the Help Menu at the top of the site.

Re: SD Downloads.
Hi
I am trying my best to help my brother add these sounds to his organ. We have now loaded the files onto a formatted floppy disc and can see they are definately there, but I cannot find anywhere in the manual or on here on how to load sounds via this method. I would be eternally grateful if you can advise step by step what to do once the floppy disc is loaded into the organ. Stephen has been trying for weeks to do this so I am trying to help him. We are in the Swindon area so if there is anyone in this area that could help that would be fantastic too. Alternatively I would be happy to call you or whoever if it would be easier to talk it through as I try it. Looking forward to a response.
Many thanks
Julie

Re: SD Downloads.
P.S. At various times the word 'organ' has been used....I hope we are in fact talking about a KN7000 keyboard and not an organ...

Re: SD Downloads.
Julie,
I think that possibly the Sounds are already loading and you aren't realising it? Here are the steps to be clear:
You've said that the .TM files are already on the floppy disk. So, put it in KN7000. Either the LOAD screen will pop up or you'll need to Press and Hold the DISK button.
You'll now have a Load screen and will be able to see a list of the files. Select one of them and press ok. This will Load 40no Sounds into Sound Memory, very quickly.
So, now press Sound Memory and you can play each of the Sounds to try them out.
My earlier post contains extensive help for other methods of Loading so please read that through carefully as well as the linked pages if you need further information.
Rog,
I know what you mean.... it does say KN7000 in the first post.
Best wishes,
Mike

Re: SD Downloads.
It was a KN7000...great relief.
Anyway, for some reason the sound files wern't transferring to the floppy disk, so I have now trained Julie and Stephen how to do the whole job...and Julie has made copious notes.
So fingers crossed it will be plain sailing from here.
