Hi Mike,

Thanks for the mesage.

Just a few more things abour these files. Right click on the mouse will not move a particular song to the computer, because it's a hyperlink. One has to left click on (mp3) and then a message appears on the computer whether you want to open(play) it or store the file on the computer is a particular, to be chosen directory.

Re SD midi's. The reason I asked about the artist/songnames is, because it would be simple to generate a play list on the computer for download in the KN7000.
To generate a playlist on the KN7000, of cause is possible, but time consuming I bellieve.

With best regards,

John Klaasing

Re: mp3 files

Hi John,

MP3s

The messages you receive are different on each computer and on each browser. Normally, you can Right-Click on the hyperlink and select "Save as" or "Save Target as", to save the MP3s to your computer but it does vary from one to the next. If I left click the links on my own computer all they do is play, I have to right-click to be able to save them. So, as I say, it does vary depending on what computer operating system and browser you are using.

MIDIs

I think maybe I'm misunderstanding which MIDIs you are downloading?

If you download the Floppy Disk versions of the VIP MIDIs, they are organised into subdirectories named by artist for you.

If you download the SD Card versions of the VIP MIDIs, they are ready for you to drag and drop the SD_SOUND directory onto your SD Card. From there, I have already created all the Playlists for you.

The reason that the actual file names have the artist names removed from them is because the keyboard can only display a limited number of characters. So, if the artist names are left in, you will just see a list of artist's names and you won't know what the song is called.

Please read the Hints and Tips PDF Download on the VIP MIDI Collection pages for full information about the MIDIs and file names.

Here's a direct link to the Hints and Tips document:

Best wishes,
