KN-SDExplorer on Windows10

A p.s. Posting through "EDGE" in windows10 is not possible. I tried many times and returned to IE11, where it works. Also CHROME will work. With best regards, John

Re: KN-SDExplorer on Windows10

Hi John,

Thanks for the pointer. I'll address this as soon as I have Edge to test with. I'm hoping it won't involve too many changes to the website.

It is rather frustrating that Microsoft forces millions of people to change the way they operate, causing countless work for individuals on a regular basis. We all enjoy seeing progress and new features in our operating systems and software but they have the resources to maintain compatibility in such things as Browsers, MIDI sub-systems and USB software layers whereas individuals find all of this to be tedious, hard work that distracts from the things we really want to do.

In my day job I'm in touch with many companies that must maintain old versions of Windows because they have hugely expensive equipment that will not work with newer versions. For example, medical devices that can only interface with Windows 98. These systems now have to be kept isolated from the Internet and treated with kid gloves in order that the National Health Service doesn't have to spend hundreds of thousands on replacement equipment, when their existing devices work perfectly (sensitive microscopes, endoscopes and so on). These machines still have decades of useful work in them and replacements are not an improvement because they are still state of the art in terms of optics and functionality.

Hopefully it won't need a new software upgrade to the websites and servers anyway smiling I expect that might need to happen when the next Windows comes along!

Many thanks,
Mike
