Hi

Since buying a new Windows 7 computer I haven't bothered to install the original USB drivers or software that came with my KN7000.

I notice the article on your website stating its not advisable to install the USB drivers on a Win 7 or 8 system, but it gives a procedure for intallation on Windows 8.1. Can you please clarify if its now possible with Windows 8.1 but not versions 7 or 8.

Hi Glen and welcome to the site.

I've heard that the installation procedure is very similar, if not the same, to install the KN7000 software on Windows 7. I can't verify that because I don't have a Windows 7 PC available.

I recently upgraded from a Windows XP laptop to a Windows 8 PC. I couldn't install the software on Windows 8, however, I didn't know about Compatibility Mode at the time. I've heard of people having problems installing the Technics drivers on Windows 8.

My PC automatically updated to Windows 8.1 within a week of me purchasing it and by then I knew about compatibility mode, so that was when I worked out the procedure for Windows 8.1. Hopefully it might work on Windows 7 and 8.
