Programming Performace Pads

I've read, re-read and read again the section in the manual on this subject but I still can't work out what I'm supposed to do. I want to program one of the pads to play a sound effect (the noise of a breeze blowing) but my attempts have all ended in failure. Would somebody please humour me and give me blow-by-blow instructions (apologies for the pun)? Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Mike

Re: Programming Performace Pads

Hi Mike
First of all see if you can make the sound you want from all the sounds and instruments on the right hand side of the keyboard...I suggest the Sound Explorer button in Sound Group and then select sound effect and page 2 for wind. Select this for the right hand part 1
Easy record the sound for the length of time that you want it for e.g number of measures as a sequence..
Next select performance pads in the Program Menus button.
Then select seq to pad copy
On this page enter the details of the first measure which will be '1', and the last measure say '4' for example
Select which Pads user bank you want it to be in - I suggest Bank 'C' and performance pad 1
Select on the right hand side of this page Part 1 as '1'
Click OK
if you now press performance pad 1 you should hear your blowing sound.

Hi Roger:

You pop up everywhere! smiling . Thanks for the guidance. After a couple of failures (a couple of things I did wrong) I achieved the goal and can now programme the pads.

Cheers,
Mike
