Hi I own a kn2600 and I want to know if I can convert some midi files to styles
before I had a kn 7000 and I use to convert some songs to styles
the kn2600 have only a sdcard reader

Hi Howard, the KN2600 has the same sequencer to style system as the KN700 the only difference is it uses a SD card instead of a floppy disk.

Hi John ,thanks for your reply,But what I mean
I have the floppy disk call Songs to styles for kn 6500 and kn7000
Due to the fact that I dont have a floppy disk in my kn2600 only a sdcard reader
I have some midi files in my sdcard and I would like to convert them to a style ,but I thing I need a software or the kn2600 cannot convert songs to styles

Howard, The KN2400/2600 does not have any capacity to Style Convert which is needed to be able to do Song to Style. The Song to Style software was NOT produced by Technics Japan. This software was commissioned by Taiyo of Germany (the main importer of Technics musical instruments in Europe excluding the UK. The software was produced by EMC of Switzerland. One thing to note is that they produced other software for Technics keyboards from the KN1000 on wards but stopped With the KN7000 as the last two keyboards by Technics did not have style convert in their operating system. The only thing I may suggest is to get a copy of the PC program Style Works Universal which has the module to do Song to Style, how well this would work in converting to a disk which you would the have to load to SD card. This is ONLY in theory so I can not be certain it would work in practice. Please remember the KN2600 is only a small scaled down version of a KN7000

Hi Howard, had thought if you still have the software for KN7000 why not see if a friend will let you do the conversions on their kn7000 and save them to SD card and your KN2600 will read them.
