Hello, I recently got a GA3 and after looking at it closely and comparing it is the "console version". the F-100, I was wondering if it would pe possible to change out the keyboards to 2 61-note manuals and change the 2 cheek case pieces? It would totally fit, but I wonder if Technics made the "guts" generic to cover a few different models? The G-100C looks virtuall identical to the GA3 and the button and inside measurements fo the GA3 and F-100 are the same. I have a Yamaha FX-20 that has a ton of extra connectors inside that don't go to anything on that model and wonder if it was cheaper to made one "insides" to fit a few different models? Here is a (donw and dirty) "Photoshopped" GA3 with 2 61-note manuals and also a page out of the GA3 service manual showing the cheek pieces that would need to be changed to the ones the F-100 uses. Your thoughts... Thank you, Steven

Re: Question about changing a GA3 to an F-100It would make a really neat compact F-100 (less the pedals (which might even be able to be changed), but that would take up room real estate and I don't have the space.

Re: Question about changing a GA3 to an F-100The Technics from this range are all very similar. Lynne and I have spent quite a lot of time fixing them over the years. Lynne sells all makes of organs so we have an on going saga of these sort of things. Much of our time is spent reverse engineering and trying to figure out the hows and the whys before we find a suitable solution to the problems. With no support from the manufacturers on most organs it is a great shame that these sometimes fantastic instruments will eventually all end up in landfill. Lynne and I intend to keep as many of these things running wherever possible!
