Black Line Across Screen!

Hi all, switched on my 6500 today (first time for about 5 weeks) and have noticed a horizontal line on the screen about halfway down. Any ideas if this is likely to be a problem with the screen itself or something else?

Hi

Afraid it is very much a display issue. There is actually a rather complicated processor to drive the display along with all manner of other chips none of which are replaceable. Likewise the number of displays available across the world either as hidden old stock from the manufacturers or from scrapped instruments is extremely low or ridiculously expensive. I am afraid you may well have to live with the issue as at present I don't think there is a cure.
