The power cord was left plugged into my wife's piano during our last move. It must have gotten hit where the cord plugs into the instrument because the socket was dislocated and the power board itself was broken. Does anyone have any idea where I can get a replacement board? Maybe other models use the same board? I'm really surprised by the lack of information and parts online.

Hi there

Sorry but there are not going to be any spares except second hand ones for any Technics keyboards of any size shape or form. As I remember it Technics stopped manufacturing some 12 years ago and as you no doubt appreciate, all consumer equipment is subject to limited spares and stock even for things that are not long out of production. Doesn't matter who makes it or what it is all white and brown goods are scrap as soon as you buy them! That is normal i'm afraid.

I can however put it back together so you can use it. There are a few options here depending on how damaged the casework is but a plate including a matching socket for your lead that you will have to fit inside the cabinet over the existing hole with the appropriate connections. If you can ship the item in your picture I can make it electrically safe and make it so that it can be used.

Sorry in the delay in getting back to you. If you haven't managed to sort this already I am only too happy to see what I can do if you care to remove it and post it over to me. I found a few similar boards in my scrap box so I might even have something you can use there.
