I have a Technics SX PR 902 that recently stop getting any sound from the speakers. Sound will work with the head phone but that is it. I looked for any obstructions in the headphone jack but did not see anything. I also unplugged the connector from the headphone that goes t the sound board in case something is wrong with the jacks but still no sound. I have the correct power from the transformer and from what I know everything looks okay. I am looking for any advice on what to look for or try to get the sound back. Also any advice on checking the sound board or other thing that may cause this problem.

My fix was a broken solder joint on the headphone jack circuit board. My headphones get used a lot and even thought the headphones were removed the broken joint made the piano believe that they were still in. Once the joint was re-soldered everything worked fine. Hopefully your problem is that simple as well. If you use the headphones a lot I think that this would be a good place to start as well as a cheap and easy fix. Let me know how you make out.

Hi John, Thank you for your contribution, It is comment like your own that help others and help Mike and I to build up more knowledge to help more members.
The active participation of fellow members is what it is all about,I know the site is relatively young I hope we can say we are getting there.Mike has put a great deal of work getting this far to all members please help make it work for all of us.

Thanks for the reply.
I haven't got round to trying it yet, but it was a really helpful response and it'll be the first thing I check when I open her up.
