KN1000 Best USB/MIDI Cable to use with Sibelius Software

Hi. I own a Technics KN1000 keyboard and wondered which USB-MIDI cable was best to allow me to connect the keyboard to my PC so as to be able to use it for composition and playback with Sibelius 7 software. Help appreciated. Thank you.

Undoubtedly it is the Roland UM1 MKII interface.

You'll find a link to it in our Shop area (on the Support Us page).

Where I've tested items myself, I've added a brief review.

I've tried numerous MIDI interfaces over the years and whilst the Roland one is more expensive than the others I've spent way more going through other cables that didn't work or had annoying lag so that's the only one I would recommend.

As you're a KN1000 owner I would be really interested in your views on the Styles I've converted for KN1000. They are all available in the members area or on the KN1000 pages on the Instruments menu.

I've had no feedback from KN1000 or KN750 owners and whilst I'm keen to try to support as many models as I can this will be fie first model I would stop supporting due to lack of feedback. I would like to direct my work where it is wanted most and at the moment I don't even know whether the Styles will play on a KN1000 or KN750 as I don't have one.

If any KN1000 or KN750 owners woudl like to help out by testing Styles and letting me know how they sound or whether they need adjusting that would be great!

Let us know what cable you get and how you go with it.

Thanks for the quick and helpful response, and for making old manuals available for older keyboards!

Your recommendation confirms my research, and I am very happy to order the Roland UM1 MKII through Amazon using your links as you suggest.

I will try some of the styles on the KN1000 and get back to you when I have some time.
