I think this site is great. Loads of information. I myself have a kn3000 and love this keyboard. I use it at many different jam sessions and gigs. After lookin I've the sit my question, is it possible to convert some of the styles from the kn7000 to be use on a in 3000 or other keyboards

Hi R1,

I'm glad you're enjoying the site, there's lots more information, features and downloads planned... essentially I've been planning these websites for about ten years in my mind and thank goodness I did eventually get around to launching them.

The answer to your question is.... Absolutely! Technics released the original Styles for almost all of the KN range of keyboards on TechnicsKN7000.com for Free and they are still available here for KN7000 (727 Styles):

Bear with me... so this means that KN7000 (and KN2600) owners can access all the KN3000 (and other models) Styles. Those same Styles will load in KN2400, PR54, PR804 and PR604 via floppy disk.

We have projects on the go to convert the Styles for all models. So there will be a KN Origins series of Styles for KN3000 (and all the other models). This will give you the KN7000, KN6000, KN5000 Styles, and more.

However, it is time-consuming as you will appreciate. Plus, I don't have a KN3000 so I need some owners to help with testing and possibly making some edits to the files as I convert them.

Are you willing to be a KN3000 volunteer?

Incidentally, I think that the KN3000 is the best Technics design. It looks great, sounds and operates beautifully. I know that the sounds improved even more in later keyboards but in my opinion it is the best 'all-rounder' taking into account sound, looks, weight etc. And I prefer the monochromatic blue displays to the colour ones.

If you have the time to work with me on those conversions I would be grateful. I'm about to start on KN6000 with someone so it would be good timing.

Be sure to try out all the other KN3000 Styles on the site too!

You an count me in....I'll help any way I can. As I said before, this is a great site, and it is amazing to see how many kn's out in use. Tenhnics was the best ever built keyboard. Let me know what I can do.
