Hi everyone

Just introducing myself being new to the website/forum and having just recently come into possession of a kn7000.

I'm self taught and don't read music so I play by ear (and hands of course!) and ever since early childhood (in the 50's) I've always had to have an instrument to play with. I play because I love it and retirement has given me more time to experiment. I provide the music for our local Am Dramatic group and the occasional 'gig' which helps to cover the cost of insuring my gear smiling.
Apart from my KN7000 I have a Tyros 3 and KN6500 and PSR 630. Yes I know I should get rid of my older keyboards but the kids clubbed together and bought the PSR 630 when I reached 50 and I'm still debating about the 6500.

Cheers

Re: Hi from Avidfanta

Hi Avidfanta,

You are well equipped with keyboards! And what a lovely 50th birthday present that must have been.

I myself am a sprightly (laughs loudly) 47 but I grew up surrounded by bigband music thanks to my wonderful grandparents along with a wide selection of other eras thanks to my parents. I started playing organ at 13 and taught myself using the huge manual that Technics used to include with their instruments at that time.

It's great to hear from you, I hope you enjoy the website. I think that playing music keeps us young (we're all 18 inside aren't we?).

Happy playing,
Mike
