Hi,
On th KN7000, I just wondered if there is a way to display the real transposed chords.
On my Yamaha PSR-S750, I just have to loop the Midi Out to Midi In and Yamaha has a Chord detect function that display the real transpose chords for me.
I need this function because when a play along with other guitarist, I need to tell them what the transposed chords to play.

Thank you for your help

Re: Displaying transposed chords instead of fingered chords

Hi,

I don't think the keyboard has this feature. My son is a guitarist and we both use irealpro on ipad to give us the chords. If you (or just your guitarist) use that it will let you display the chords of a song in any key. It is available on Mac, Android phone or tablet, iPhone and iPad. Using this method you will both be playing the exact same chords even though your keyboard is in transpose mode....; and you won't need to shout out smiling

if your song is not in their huge song databases you can enter the chords into it yourself.

Sorry I can't be of more help but do give that program a try it is brilliant for this use.

Best wishes,
Mike

Thanks Mike for your reply.
I know exactly what you use.
My aim is to display the chord on the keyboard, not in a song.
For example, if I finger the Bm7-5 chord on the keyboard and it is transposed +2, I would like to see the keyboard display C#m7-5.
My Yamaha PSR-S750 can do this for me.

Sorry I don't know of a way to do what you want other than by using midi out to some software on your PC or tablet, or by linking out to your PSR and looking at the display on that.

Re: Displaying transposed chords instead of fingered chords

Hi Mike,
So if I can't get the KN7K to display real chord, is there a way to get it display the numbers of step instead of the notes.
For example :
C = 0
Db = +1
D = +2
Eb = +3
E = +4

Currently, the KN7K takes for granted that the song chord is a Cmaj
This would be more convenient when you play a song in minor chord (Am)

Thanks
