Hello,
As you can tell, or maybe not,
I love Technics Digital pianos.
I Think they are the best pianos
ever made, but that is not the
subject of this post.
I recently acquired a Technics pr80
fo FREE.
It works but has one issue.
When I play a key sometimes it
sounds properly, but if I play it again,
I get a soft chh... sound almost like a soft
cymbol sound instead of the piano sound.
Then if I play another key sometimes I get the piano
sound or sometime I get the chh... sound.
This does this on any key and on any instrument
setting and through the speakers or with head phones on.
I can't get it to play any instrument sound properly
EVERY time I play any key.
Any suggesions???

Thanks

p.s.
Is there a user's manual or a service manual available???
I searched and found a pr60 service manual, but not a pr80 users or service manual.

Thanks

Re: technics pr80

I also love the Technics Pianos, I've had a couple.

This is very strange, I've never heard of something similar. Is it possible to post a recording? (you can attach files to posts here)

I don't have any of the manuals for this model yet. I know where to purchase one but I don't publicise those sites but you can use the contact form to email me privately if you like.

Re: technics pr80

Hello,
Thanks for the reply.

I have a new theory.
I think it might be just static from the speakers.
BUT, if I plug headphones in,
I shouldn't get static, but I get the
same sound.
I tried to attach a video and it didn't work.
I will try to attach it in a seperate post.

Thanks

Hello,
I have determined it is not speakers,
( I was hoping for an easy fix).
I do not know what the
issue is, so I am
going to sell it.
Thanks for the replies.
