hi wimhel,

We need a bit more information from you really but I'll tell you what I know:

You can't build an ordinary computer floppy drive into the KN800.

The floppy drive was optional on KN800 so maybe you have one or maybe not.

If your KN800 does not have a floppy drive you can add an SY-FD20 floppy drive (if you can get hold of one from Ebay for example. It might be cheaper to buy another keyboard).

If your KN800 already has a floppy drive and it is not working there are many repair places that can fix it for you. If the light is coming on try running a head cleaner multiple times and that will probably get it working.

It is possible to build in a USB emulator instead (so that you can use a USB stick instead of floppy disks). I don't know a lot about that but there are many resources if you search on Google.

The service manual for KN800 describes how to fit an SY-FD20 and is available in the members area. The service manual for FY-D20 is also in the members area.

Best wishes,
Mike
